Bossard began her commercial seafood career in 1999, when she was hired on board the ship F/V Sunset. This 65' schooner that was converted into an ice-fish tender was owned by Murat Aritan. He has been a commercial fishing since 1993. Bossard is married to Aritan. They have now come together and have claimed their respective industries. They both believe in conservation as well as profiting from natural resources that are used in the seafood industry. Otolith, a wholesale direct seafood company, was established in the year 2007 by Bella Bossard (age 3), Andre Bossard (1 year old) as well as Bossard's mom. Bossard had returned to Philadelphia after the birth of her two children.
